oh the little things that make me smile
I thought I’d share this funny experience I had this morning…. Hubby has a wit bit of a cold and requested that I go and get him some Tylenol Cold medicine at our drugstore. So off I went. I found the formula he wanted, went up to the check out counter, put the medicine on the counter to pay for it and…WAIT, WAIT (this is so funny!)….. the check out lady asked me if I was old enough to buy this medicine! What?!?! This was so funny to me!
Now, WAY back in those college days this used to happen to me all the time. Getting carded to make sure I was indeed old enough to drink. And I used to get so irritated about it. Well, I guess now that I’m in my 30s, if the check out lady thinks that I don’t look old enough to buy cold medication (younger than 18), I’ll take it!
I happily showed her my id. And then I told her that she made my day. I never thought I would be so pleased that someone would think I looked soooo young. Ahhh, the little things!

Now you know how I felt sometimes when I was an Officer in the Army and people asked for my ID they thought I was playing dress up. But now I’m almost 60 and look 50? so I’m happy
Mom
Speaking as one who is almost dead-level with 50….this is NOT a ‘little” thing! It’s been so long since I’ve been carded my id has nary a scratch on it. You are one of those people who is blessed with young looks AND beauty, lucky, lucky girl, call your folks and say “thanks” !!
See you around Bliss.
